Dermatoglyphics Multiple Intelligence Test or DMIT as commonly known as is a scientific study of fingerprint pattern based on understanding from Neuroscience, Genetics, Dermatoglyphics, Psychology and Embryology. The Test helps in understanding an individual's potential, personality types, Multiple Intelligence distribution, Adversity Quotient, Communication Method and many other cognitive capabilities.
DMIT is based on the extensive research by world renowned scientists and medical experts. Dr. Harold Cummins (1926) who is also known as the father of Dermatoglyphics (study of finger prints) and Dr. Howard Gardener, the proposer of theory of Multiple Intelligence (1983) are among the prominent ones.
What is Dermatoglyphics?
Dermatoglyphics is scientific analysis of finger print patterns. Finger prints and dermal ridge pattern are unique in each individual. No individual can have similar finger prints. The use of finger prints in Forensic science and Bio metric technologies are common examples of the uniqueness of individual finger prints.
What is Multiple Intelligence?
Contrary to the general notion of single intelligence reflected through Intelligence Quotient usually measured through verbal and mathematical aptitude, Dr. Howard Gardener from the Howard University proposed the theory of Multiple Intelligence in 1983. According to him an individual possess 9 types of intelligence in varying proportions. Thus, multiple intelligence test is a scientific method of understanding brain lobes and its functions and distribution of intelligence.
How is finger prints connected by brain and its functions?
Various scientific studies and publications reveal a strong link between finger prints and formation of brain in embryo. In fact, many infants born without brain were found to have finger prints missing.
Finger print development depends on proportion and distribution of brain lobes. They also represent different types of characteristics even in identical twins. Remarkable differences in fingerprints were spotted in children with learning difficulties compared to those talented ones.
Thus, an integrated study of brain lobes, nine intelligence and Human Psychology forms a concept called Dermatoglyphics Multiple Intelligence Test (DMIT)
Every Individual is unique in his or her own way. DMI Test can help to;
Who can take DMIT Test?
Anyone ideally above the age of 5 can take DMIT Test:

Every Individual is unique in his or her own way. DMI Test can help to;
- Know your inborn talents and natural character
- Understand the best learning style
- Customize the learning programs based on individual's preferred learning style
- Improve communication
- Select talent enhancing activities based on their Multiple intelligence and inherent abilities.
Who can take DMIT Test?
Anyone ideally above the age of 5 can take DMIT Test:
- Working professionals can take a review of their existing career or a decision on their future career plans based on their strength and weakness revealed through DMIT
- New Job Seekers (Fresh Graduates) can determine their skills and talents before choosing a profession or line of work.
- High School Students may use DMIT as a tool to determine their potential and aptitude before selecting a College/University level course.
- Parents of school going students under the age group (5-15 Years) can use DMIT report to learn about their kids inborn skills, talents and personality . They can also learn about a child's learning style and communication methods further helping them establish a strong connect.
